Crayola Retires Dandelion Yellow?

In honor of #NationalCrayonDay, Crayola Crayons will retire of one of its classic colors, Dandelion Yellow, one of the colors in the basic 24-count pack of crayons.

The company announced that Dandelion — the bright yellow color — will be retiring to the Crayola Hall of Fame yesterday and will talk more about this decision during a live event Friday morning for #NationalCrayonDay.

According to NPR, Crayola called the Dandelion Yellow color “an adventurous spirit” with “a case of wanderlust.”

Retiring Dandelion YELLOW? But Yellow is the best color in the box!
Yellow is the color of a daisy and sunshine.   Yellow is the color of adorable rubber duckies, lemons and Number 2 pencils.  It is the color of one of the most beloved characters ever—Sesame Street’s Big Bird!

Happiness is represented by Yellow…and it’s the color of the Sprint logo!

Crayola. PLEASE rethink retiring Dandelion Yellow.  Maybe think about retiring MAGENTA, BLUE OR RED? Of course we are being completely objective.
