Summer Streets: Summer Streets takes place over three consecutive Saturdays on August 6, 13 and 20, 2016 from 7am to 1pm
Summer Streets’ route starts at Lafayette and Chamber Streets by the Brooklyn Bridge, travels up Lafayette Street and Park Avenue to 72nd Street and ends at East 72nd Street and Central Park.
This FREE event is heaven! Almost seven miles of the city is cleared of vehicles, so it’s super-easy to walk around, with lots of food and fun. This year’s edition offers a rock-climbing wall, a 30-foot zip line and outdoor art installations, misting stations and hammocks for lounging.
Drake & Future at Madison Square Garden

Battlicious: A Comedy Rap Battle at UCBT East Village – If you’re into rap battles, you can’t miss Battlicious. It’s a freestyle battle mash-up of comics and rappers at the Upright Citizen’s Brigade East Village. It’s at 11:30pm Saturday and tickets are $5.00.
PotterConNYC – PotterCon, the biggest Harry Potter fan event is back! The annual gathering and celebration brings in fans from far and wide to celebrate Harry Potter over a nice pint of Butterbeer.

“Impressionism: American Gardens on Canvas” New York Botanical Garden – Feel like a quiet afternoon? Need something to do with your mom or Aunt Helen visiting from Kansas? Check out this exhibit at the Botanical Gargen. American Impressionism’s love affair with gardens is the focus of this show bringing together period artists with a recreation of a 19th-century formal garden. Tickets are $20-$25.
